This is probably one of the RAREST Hermes Collier de Chien bracelets to be produced and it is absolutely gorgeous! In 2008, Hermes produced a very limited collection entitled “Year of India” which embraced the intricate embroidery of the heritage of India. Hermes produced a Collier de Chien Bracelet which has the embroidery pattern on it. Hermes also went a step further and embroidered an entire Birkin bag.

The “Year of India” CDC matches the “Year of India” Birkin 25cm with its Barenia natural brown golden leather and the white contrast stitching on top of the vibrant colors embroidered into the pattern. These pieces are all made by hand and are accented with Gold or Palladium hardware. These pieces are stunning works of art and I am sure very long hours went into the hand embroidery!

Now 12 years later, these pieces are almost never seen or even spoken about. There are a few people in the world that we know of that actually own these pieces which makes us wonder how many were actually produced?

After scouring the internet, we were able to find the original advertisements for the 2008 “Year of India” collection!! The images are gorgeous and vibrant plus it really does tell a story.
