US Tariff on French Luxury Goods Suspended
The United States was going to implement a 25% tax on ALL French Luxury products including fashion, accessories, Champagne and cheeses to name a few. We were all about to buy everything up as fast as we could just to ration it including Hermes Birkin and Kelly bags! I was eyeing tons of my favorite French bags and ready to pull the trigger at any second if the confirmation that this tariff would be implemented.
Thankfully enough, at the “Eleventh Hour”, the US has decided to suspend the 25% tariff on French Luxury goods and we are hoping that there will not be another increase such as this in the coming future. Most luxury brands are having their annual increases which range from around 5-8% usually on most of their best selling or most desired products. There will be an increase in your favorite luxury designers, especially handbags so keep an eye for our latest blogs about the increases that are coming!
