Chanel re-opens after a temporary closure in Toronto from COVID-19 and my experience in the store was very different than usual, but not in a bad way! I was so excited that my favorite stores were re-opening that I had to venture out and see them for myself.

I walked up to one of my favorite Chanel boutiques, the one located in Toronto, and I was able to be met by a security guard wearing a mask who stopped me before stepping a foot into the boutique. He asked me, “Hi -can I help you with something?” and I replied, “Yes, I would like to walk around the store and see the new collections for Spring/Summer 2020. Are you by appointment only?” - I didn’t think it would be by appointment only as the doors were wide open.

The Chanel security guard then says, “Please wait a moment”. He then spoke to a SA behind him and then she texted someone on her phone. Another Chanel SA appears with a Chanel black mask on and says, “Please come with me, is there something I can help you with?” I was told to use the hand sanitizer and then followed her into the next room. I explained to her that I would like to walk around the store and see the new collection.

As I was escorted around the store I was able to have a very personal private experience. There was only 3-4 other customers in a large two story boutique and it felt like I had the entire store to myself with a SA that was very attentive. I loved having this experience and I think as it continues I feel it would be a lot more personable which I LOVE!

Please know when going to a boutique in the future that you might want to book an appointment before or you could be waiting in line. I feel with an appointment you will have the ultimate Chanel luxury experience!
