The Hermes Shadow Birkin is Coming Back!

We are shocked! Just shocked! Another RARE Hermes bag is going to be making a comeback this coming season and it is the ever so collected “Shadow Birkin”. The Limited Edition Birkin bag from the Jean Paul Gaultier days, around 2011, is going to be coming back to Hermes stores with the same look however a few new styles. When talk about “styles” we mean color ways it will be offered. This VERY RARE bag has the outline of all of the Birkin features of the bag however it is pushed out from the leather from the back to the front creating a “Shadow” look. The bag does not have any lock, clochette, etc, it is all shown on the front of the bag.

Since hearing of this news, we have already been seeing teasing images of the bag around Instagram however I do not have a confirmation that the images being used are authentic….yet. Once we get the authentic images, I will definitely post them.

If you are a MAJOR collector, you will remember that Hermes came out with the “Shadow Collier De Chien” bracelet in three colorways (Noir, Rouge, Natural). I do own two out of the three which took me several years to collect. Hermes also released a “Shadow Kelly Cut Clutch” bag in noir and of course a “Shadow Medor Belt”, which came in Noir, Rouge & Natural colored leather.

I am SO curious to find out what sizes of the bags and which accessories they will be making with the “Shadow” style and I am just on the edge of my seat to find out more about this limited edition collection. I do not have a release date yet but once I get more information, I will be updating everyone!!

What is your feeling about re-releasing RARE Hermes pieces that sometimes takes years to find, now being back in the store? I definitely would love to hear from MAJOR collectors on this subject.
