Hermes Micro Birkin 15cm Bag - SUPER RARE LIMITED EDITION!
I am so excited to be sharing this SUPER RARE collectible Hermes Micro Birkin 15cm!! No no, unfortunately Hermes has not re-released this bag…. yet….however we are going to pay it homage as this bag was probably before it’s time. When this bag was released on the LAST runway of Jean Paul Gaultier for Hermes in 2011, the height of the “Micro” & “Mini” bag trend was not at its peak.
These Micro Limited Edition Hermes Birkin bags were released within the “Candy Collection” of colors to just a handful of VIP customers with a price tag at $4,800 USD. The reason I bring the price up on this bag especially, is that to find one of these Micro Birkins is nearly impossible so the secondary market pricing for this bag specifically has skyrocketed to a premium of ranging from $11,000 USD to $22,500 USD, depending on the condition/color of the bag. The Birkin 15cm only came in Epsom & Swift leathers and with Palladium hardware.
I am interested to see if Hermes does re-release these Micro 15cm Birkin bags from 2011 since they have been re-releasing other Limited Editions such as their “Kelly Picnic” and their “Shadow Birkin”, which were all from when Jean Paul Gaultier was designing for the French fashion house.
The Micro Birkin is great as a little clutch for an event or if you wear the matching leather cross-body strap, you can wear it shopping or even as a shoulder bag for dinner. The versatility is great with the bag however the size of the bag is indeed 15cm (around 5.5/6inches inside space) which can only fit credit cards, some lip gloss, dental floss and anything else you might need that is quite compact.
