Why is the Hermes HAC Birkins going up in price?
Most Hermes collectors are not always in scout of the Hermes Haut A Courroies handbag - which is the Hermes Birkin Bag with a slightly taller build and shorter handles. These bags were originally designed to be used on the saddle to carry personal items and/or some horse accessories. These bags have now become a hot commodity as Hermes has stopped producing these gorgeous bags in the smaller sizes. Hermes has been putting out the Endless Road HAC Birkin and some other limited editions however these bags seem to go unnoticed sometimes.
As Hermes has discontinued the HAC Birkin in smaller sizes such as the HAC 28cm and the HAC 32cm - collectors are scooping them up like candy making the resale of these bags soar. We have been watching the markets for a few years now and it is incredible how much these bags have gone up in the past years. With these bags being more accessible and affordable on the second hand market, they are now twice as much as they use to be.
Trying to find colors in this bag is almost impossible unless you go with the a standard black or brown or barenia, these bags are now so coveted especially in bright colors with gold hardware. The only HAC we have seen recently that is a bit smaller is the Cargo Birkin which is a VERY limited edition and almost impossible to get a hold of - plus comes in natural colors with Palladium hardware Most of the HAC Birkins on the market now are only larger sizes like the 40cm HAC, 45cm HAC or the 50cm HAC - which are great for traveling however not so great for everyday use unless you are Shaq!
If you do see a Haut A Courroies Birkin in a smaller size for under 5 figures, we suggest you scoop it up as these collectors pieces are being coveted by big H collectors who will keep these in their closets until the end of time!
