First lets start out with the Hermes Birkin 20cm, which is only available in exotic’s or in a limited edition style - which usually comes in a blue Hermes box. We do not see the 20cm a lot yet, as this size is relatively new to the Hermes Birkin family.
The next size that is one of the hardest to obtain is the Hermes Birkin 25cm. This is the most coveted bag right now in fashion and in the world. The size of the bag is perfect for day or night and can usually hold most of your daily or nightly accessories including wallet, keys, phone, makeup, etc. You probably won’t be able to fit your wrists through the handles on this size though - just to keep in mind. This size was overlooked for many years however when the mini bag craze started in 2020, so did the hype for the 25cm Birkin!
We are moving on to the Hermes Birkin 30cm and one of the most popular sizes. The B30, which we like to call it, has enough room for all your essentials, is still small enough to take with you for lunch or dinner. This bag is a great size and is not too heavy. The Birkin 30 does fit around your wrist and can be held on your forearm or with your hands by the handles. The Birkin 30 will always be a classic and if you are new to the Birkin world, this would be a great size to start at.
The last Hermes Birkin size that we will be discussing today is the Hermes Birkin 35cm. The Classic. This is the Hermes Birkin you have seen on TV and on your favorite celebrities. This is the Birkin size that started it all and it will continue to be the classic Hermes Birkin size. You can fit ALL your daily essentials in there and some more as this size is great for toting around town or going for a meeting. This bag can get full and very heavy if you put too many extras into it however this bag will always be a classic and the original Birkin size.
There are three other Birkin sizes that we did not mention in this article. One if the Birkin 15cm - came out for a short time in 2011 for some VIP clients of Hermes and has not been re-released again. This Micro Birkin is a collectors item and is very sought after by Hermes collectors. The other size that the Hermes Birkin comes in is the 40cm. The Birkin 40cm is great for traveling however too large for your everyday bag unless you are quite tall. The Birkin 40cm can fit enough for a weekend with clothes and your toiletries. The last Birkin that we haven’t mentioned is the Hermes Birkin 42cm designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. This limited edition Birkin was not a fan favorite at first and has come in three editions now. The 42cm AKA the Should Birkin, has elongated handles so you can wear the bag over your shoulder or around the arm or wrist. This bag is very limited and now can only be found on the resale market.
