Can you Walk into Hermes and Buy a Birkin Bag?
Unfortunately No, you cannot walk into a Hermes boutique and just purchase a Birkin bag. It must be ordered, and there is a waiting list. You also can't buy the Birkin, Kelly, or most of Hermès's more iconic styles online through Hermes.com. You would have to go through a third party to have the access to purchase one of those iconic bags.
There are RARE instances when you have been a client of Hermes for a while with a long purchase history that you might be able to score a Birkin that someone else declined. Those instances are extremely rare and only happens to regular customers who spend on average more than $5k USD a “semester”.
