Hermes Re-Opens Amid COVID-19 - The New Experience
Hermes is having a new experience amid the COVID-19 pandemic as they continue to re-open. I have been in contact with my SA for the entire time during the pandemic and I kept getting the updates gradually about the re-opening. When I finally got the call about the re-opening, I was greeted by my SA making a specific appointment time. My SA did tell me that I was limited to bringing any guests with me, possibly one guest only. My SA made a date and time for the appointment which was blocked out for 30 minutes.
When I walked up to the Hermes boutique, the doors were locked and there was a sign on the door stating that Hermes was by appointment only now and to please call a specific number to schedule. As I stood in front of the Hermes door for a few minutes, a Hermes security guard with a mask approached me and opened the glass door. “Can I help you? I replied, “Yes, I have an appointment with my SA at this time.” He then checked his papers with my name on it, confirmed. “Please come in and sanitize your hands and please put on these gloves. Your SA is just finishing with a client, she will be right with you.”.
I casually walked around the first floor with noticing that all employees had face masks and were being mindful of social distancing. They had horseshoes on the floor for placing for clients to stand while waiting to checkout at the register. The register had a plexiglass in front of it and there was hand sanitizer all over the store.
My SA arrives and escorts me around the store and it was like having a private experience. My SA informed me that only a few clients at a time will be allowed at select appointments to be in the store as they are practicing social distancing, which I appreciated so much! It was like having the entire Hermes store to myself which was a DREAM!
I feel this could be a problem while traveling to different cities when you don’t have a SA. I am sure each store will have a number to phone before your arrival, which I suggest. You might want to plan out your Hermes boutique experience into your travel plans before as many time slots are filling up quickly!
